How to use Quackgrass material

This isn't rocket science! The main thing to remember is that most of the world still isn't online. So the first rule is:
If you like the article, hit the print button of your browser. (It will look better if you turn off your browser's "underline links" option. All that underlining looks tacky enough on a monitor screen, on paper it's downright ugly.) Once you have several copies on paper, you can decide what to do next. You're ready for anything. With copies on paper, you can photocopy, fax or hand them out anywhere. So start by printing several copies.
After you've printed several copies, consider a little electronic activism. Do you have a fax distribution list that should definitely receive an article? Depending on your system, you can probably fax to the whole list right out of your browser, with no more effort than printing it on your own printer. For an email distribution list you don't have to send the whole article, just copy and paste a few good quotes into a mail message--together with the article's URL--and fire it off to them. Any who are interested can easily browse to the article. (Some people get a bit testy when whole articles turn up in their mailboxes.)
Only a few articles at a time. Quackgrass Press is pretty rich fare. If you send too much at once, people may get intellectual indigestion, and blame it on me. One or two articles a month to any given person shouldn't be overdoing it.
If you come up with any other easy and effective distribution ideas, tell me. If I like them, I'll post them here.
Oh yes, one other thing. You already know it, but I do have to mention it to keep people off my neck: don't be a pest! If somebody tells you not to send him "any more of that blankety-blank stuff," then DON'T. He's no loss; he wouldn't relay it anyway.
Have fun with this! At first, it'll feel a bit like dropping flowers into the Grand Canyon and listening for the echo, but after a year or so you will start to hear a few echoes. Believe me, you will enjoy the sound of them.
